Instructions for use

Elastic Compression Bandage

Step 1:
Measure the circumference of the ankle and refer to the application guide (below). Note the recommended extension for the circumference of the ankle.

Step 2:
Start bandaging at the side of the toes with one or two anchor turns. Do not apply excess pressure at this stage.

Step 3:
Apply one turn mainly above the heel. Apply one turn mainly below the heel and continue up the leg using a standard spiral bandaging technique.

Step 4:
Overlap to the green line whilst maintaining a constant extension of 50% or 75% greater than the unstretched length ( see application guide).

Step 5:
Secure bandage with pin or tape. Cut off excess bandage.

Application Guide

Note: Not suitable for ankles of less than 18cm in circumference. If necessary, pad ankle to 18cm or greater.

Elastic Compression Bandage

Description

Tensopress conforms smoothly and evenly to provide the patient with a comfortable yet firm bandage. A central yellow line has been included to aid correct overlap.

The research behind Tensopress® indicates that it sustains an even and consistent compression for periods of over a week, even after washing, making it an extremely reliable and cost-effective treatment option.

Reduced Irritation

Tensopress® stays firmly in place to reduce irritation and the temptation for the patient to interfere with open or healing areas.
